Austin Mahone once (maybe) had a Jaws moment on a fishing trip

What started as a standard fishing trip for Austin Mahone and his uncle became something much more interesting (and mythical) when he says they got a bite from something unexpected.

As the singer shares in EW’s Greatest Story Ever Told series, that the two were “way, way out there” on the water when they saw a dark figure coming by their boat. So, they tried to catch it — and got a bite. While fighting to reel the mystery creature in, Mahone says he dipped his head in to see what exactly caught their line.

debut record

If Austin Mahone’s after-hours workplace romance in his “Dirty Work” video proves anything, it’s that the 19-year-old has grown up. “It’s definitely way more mature stuff,” Mahone tells EW of his first studio album. “We’ve talked through some cool concepts and got some good stuff.
