As a director, producer, debonair cultural provocateur, and incubator of great movie talent, the now 90-year-old Roger Corman has led (and continues to lead) the kind of life which itself deserves to be immortalized on the big screen. That, at least, is the opinion of filmmaker Joe Dante (Gremlins, The ‘Burbs), who has spent a decade trying to make The Man with Kaleidoscope Eyes, which details the production of 1967’s acid-drenched, Corman-directed cult classic, The Trip.

Bill Hader to play Roger Corman in script reading for planned biopic

Bill Hader is set to play Roger Corman at a reading of the script for The Man With Kaleidoscope Eyes, an as-yet-unproduced biopic of the legendary director-producer, it was announced today. The reading is part of this year’s SpectreFest, in L.A., which starts Oct. 7 and is a collaboration between Cinefamily and the indie-horror company SpectreVision.
