Casting Net: Michael Pitt and Imogen Poots lead art-theft drama The Sleeping Shepherd

  • The Sleeping Shepherd has cast a quartet of actors. Michael Pitt, Imogen Poots, Isabelle Huppert, and Willem Dafoe signed on for the film from writer-director Frank Hudec. Inspired by real-life art thief Stéphane Breitwieser, who admitted to stealing more than 200 works in the 1990s, The Sleeping Shepherd follows a failed painter (Pitt) who decides to steal art instead of paint it. He’s accompanied on his spree by a bored rich girl (Poots).
