Robert De Niro talks Scorsese, Pacino, and Pesci project on The Tonight Show

Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman has been in the works for years, and while Al Pacino and Robert De Niro have both said in the past that they’re involved, it’s been ages since any additional news about the project has come out. But on Tuesday’s episode of The Tonight Show, host Jimmy Fallon asked De Niro about the Irishman rumors — and the actor said it’s still happening.

GoodFellas announced as Tribeca's closing-night film

Martin Scorsese’s GoodFellas, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, will be the closing-night film at this April’s Tribeca Film Festival. The gritty gangster film, based on Nicholas Pileggi’s book about real-life mobster-turned-informant Henry Hill, stars Ray Liotta, Joe Pesci, and Tribeca co-founder Robert De Niro as three ruthless New York gangsters whose grand ambitions are ultimately stymied by their own character flaws.
