The Lonely Island snuck Jimmy Fallon's name into every Popstar interview

The Lonely Island just concluded a lengthy press tour for their upcoming mockumentary Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, wrapping up a seemingly endless amount of junkets and interviews with Andy Samberg’s appearance Monday on The Tonight Show. To keep themselves entertained on the road, the trio — Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccome — decided to make a game out of it… at the expense of Jimmy Fallon.

Andy Samberg opens Emmys with epic song about too much TV

FX head John Landgraf caused a stir in August when he said “there is simply too much television” during the summer Television Critics Association press tour, and at the Emmys on Sunday, Andy Samberg tried to prove his point with an opening song that highlighted the incredible amount of shows on the air right now.

Samberg went into a bunker to catch up on … everything. When he emerged, having not showered in a year, Jon Hamm and Kerry Washington were none-too-pleased with his hygiene.

Casting Net: Scandal star Tony Goldwyn to star in The Belko Experiment

  • Tony Goldwyn has been tapped to star in Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn’s horror film The Belko Experiment. Gunn made the announcement on his Facebook on Tuesday, a day after announcing that John Gallagher Jr. (The Newsroom) would be playing a lead in the film as well. The film follows an American company after it becomes mysteriously sealed off in South America.
