Steven Tyler posts Lord of the Rings birthday message for daughter Liv

Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler took a page from J.R.R. Tolkien in his birthday message to his daughter Liv Tyler on Twitter Friday.

The rockstar dad referenced Liv Tyler’s turn as the half-elven queen Arwen in Peter Jackson’s big-screen adaptations of Tolkein’s The Lord of the Rings series. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY @LIVTYLER…MY MAGICAL HALF-ELVEN EVENSTAR,” the former American Idol judge wrote. “I LOVE YOU TO THE END OF THE GALAXY AND BACK.”

Alicia Silverstone reunited with 'Crazy' video costar Liv Tyler

Alicia Silverstone had a “Crazy” encounter on Thursday — the actress reunited with Liv Tyler, with whom she starred in Aerosmith’s 1994 music video for “Crazy.”

The video follows Silverstone and Tyler as two high schoolers cutting class to embark on an adventurous day of wild antics. The video role served as the acting debut of Tyler, daughter of Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler. Silverstone had starred in two Aerosmith videos prior to “Crazy”: “Cryin” and “Amazing.”

Liv Tyler joins Damon Lindelof's 'The Leftovers' pilot

Liv Tyler has joined the cast of The Leftovers, Damon Lindelof’s HBO pilot based on Tom Perrotta’s book of the same name. The Lord of the Rings actress will star alongside Justin Theroux, EW has confirmed.

In the post-apocalyptic story, Tyler plays Meg, who is recruited to join a cult following the Rapture, while Theroux is Kevin, a chief of police.
