With the fate of Nathan Fillion’s Castle still listed as “Could go either way” on Ausiello’s Fall TV cheat sheet (UPDATE: It’s “Now a safe bet”), Fillion is taking to the phones on Friday to drum up press for the show’s May 11 season finale (ABC, 10 p.m. ET). Because he is one of the 50 actors we’ve said we’d watch in anything, we’re somewhat obligated to accept the call. We, however, are also happy to do so because Castle — which features Fillion as the famous, smartass crime novelist shadowing the NYPD homicide detective, Kate Beckett (Stana Katic), who serves as the muse for his next book — is an enjoyable hour of television.

So here’s the plan: You post your questions for Fillion (preferably Castle-related) by 10 a.m. ET Friday. We ask him the best ones that fit into our allotted eight minutes. You come back for his answers on Monday a.m. and tune into Castle Monday night. (ABC renews the show when it announces its fall schedule on May 19, and everybody’s happy.) If you need inspiration, on this week’s episode we found out that Beckett belongs to Castle’s fansite, once waited in line for an hour to get him to sign a book, and used his novels to get through her mother’s death. We also learned that while Castle doesn’t know who his father is, he is aware that he’s up against CSI: Miami (nice shot at detectives obsessed with their sunglasses).

Oh, and apparently, he gets shot next week.

Let’s make it happen, people.
