Rick Ross celebrates Port of Miami's 10th anniversary with special concert

Rick Ross released his debut studio album, Port of Miami, 10 years ago Monday. To celebrate the anniversary of the project — which remains his best-selling album — Ross has announced a special concert scheduled for later this month. The show, which will be broadcast by TIDAL as the latest installment of its TIDAL X series, will appropriately be staged at Miami’s Port of Miami.

Rick Ross and Skrillex drop new Suicide Squad collaboration 'Purple Lamborghini'

Rick Ross and Skrillex debuted “Purple Lamborghini,” their bombastic new song from the Suicide Squad soundtrack, on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show Thursday. In a brief interview with Lowe, Ross and Skrillex hinted that a “cinematic” music video for the song currently in production will feature a cameo from the Joker, played by Jared Leto in the new DC movie.

Fresh off house arrest and remixes of Drake’s “30 For 30” and Adele’s “Hello,” Rick Ross has confirmed Dec. 4 as the release date for his eighth studio album, Black Market. The record is Ross’ third studio effort in the last two years, following 2014’s Mastermind and Hood Billionaire.

Rick Ross remixes Drake's '30 For 30'

Rick Ross has veered back into his lane. The rapper remixed Adele’s “Hello” last week, and now he’s taking on Drake. Rozay remixed “30 For 30,” the Drake-only track on his and Future’s mixtape, What a Time to Be Alive.

Ross must have recorded the remix recently, as he begins the song by saying he’s off house arrest, a legal move reportedly decided Friday.

Rick Ross arrested for marijuana possession

Rick Ross was arrested in Georgia for misdemeanor marijuana possession, EW has confirmed. He is being processed at the Fayette County Jail, about 20 miles south of Atlanta. Ross was stopped by police for overly tinted windows on his car, for which he was also charged. Ross was arrested last June after a concert in North Carolina for an outstanding marijuana possession warrant from 2013, according to Billboard.
