Patton Oswalt lip-syncs to Weezer in 'I Love the USA' music video

Weezer and Patton Oswalt make an unlikely (but nonetheless satisfying) team in the new music video for the rock band’s latest single “I Love the U.S.A.” 

“We are Weezer, and we approve this message,” the band tweeted on Sunday afternoon, linking to the new clip. “Watch the new video for ‘I Love The USA’ starring @pattonoswalt.”

How Rivers Cuomo will use a computer program to take Weezer’s tour to the next level

Weezer seem to perennially tour, but frontman Rivers Cuomo hasn’t tired of the road’s grind just yet. This summer, the nerd-rock legends will hit the road with Panic! at the Disco and Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness for a two-month U.S. tour, and the 45-year-old says Weezer have plenty of tricks in store to keep things interesting for fans new and old alike.

For one, Cuomo says he’s designing a computer program to generate randomized setlists so each of the tour’s concerts is unique. “It’s fun for us and it’s fun for the fans who come to multiple shows,” he tells EW.

Damn Daniel makes a cameo in Weezer's 'California Kids' music video

Weezer’s back at it again with the Ray-Bans.

At least, Rivers Cuomo is. In the band’s music video for “California Kids,” the teens who went viral for a Snapchat story about one half of the duo’s trendy look appear toward the end of the song, dragging Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo along as they film another Snapchat story on the beach. This time, they compliment him. “Damn, Rivers,” one of the teens says. “Back at it again with the Ray-Bans!”
