I just finished reading everything by Nicholson Baker. If I find an author I like, I tend to read everything they’ve written. Every time I think the English language is used up, someone comes along and does something fresh and new . I have started reading Robertson Davies’ The Cunning Man. He’s a classic novelist who writes great books you can spend a long time (with). I’m also reading my way through all of Balzac because I’m writing some fiction, and I wanted to study his technique. But then I thought I’d like to be able to say that I’d read all of his books. So far I’ve read 12 out of 90.
