Scarlett Johansson to star in George Clooney-produced thriller Tangerine

Hail, Caesar! costars George Clooney and Scarlett Johansson are prepping for a big screen reteam.

EW can confirm Imperative Entertainment has won an auction for the film rights to Christine Mangan’s debut novel, Tangerine, which will be adapted by Clooney and Grant Heslov’s production company, Smokehouse Pictures, with Johansson attached to star.

The unreleased novel, publishing rights for which were sold to HarperCollins for $1.1 million last week, reportedly is set in 1950s Morocco and follows two women whose lives intersect in deadly ways.

Disney notches its biggest global box office year on record with $5.85 billion

The House of Mouse has broken its own record.

With two full months and three major releases left on its 2016 slate, Walt Disney Studios announced Wednesday it has posted its biggest year ever at the global box office, earning $5.851.4 billion as of Tuesday. The massive worldwide haul surpasses Disney’s 2015 calendar-year record of $5.843.8 billion.
