Cannibal love story The Bad Batch gets 2017 release date

Screen Media has acquired The Bad Batch, writer-director Ana Lily Amirpour’s follow-up to her 2014 vampire film, A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night. Produced by VICE and Annapurna Pictures, The Bad Batch is a dystopian love story set in a Texas wasteland among a community of cannibals. The film stars Suki Waterhouse, Jason Momoa, Giovanni Ribisi, and Yolonda Ross, with cameos from Keanu Reeves, Jim Carrey, and Diego Luna.

Game of Thrones actress joins The White Princess

As production begins on the follow-up to Starz’s Emmy-nominated 2013 mini-series The White Queen, the cable network on Monday announced new faces joining the project. The White Princess, based on Philippa Gregory’s best-selling novel of the same name, will feature Suki Waterhouse, Essie Davis, and Joanne Whalley, among others.

Casting Net: Ryan Gosling eyed to play Neil Armstrong in biopic

  • One small step for Ryan Gosling, one giant leap for mankind? The actor is reportedly being eyed by Whiplash director Damien Chazelle to lead a Neil Armstrong biopic from Spotlight writer Josh Singer. First Man, adapted from James Hansen’s biography of Armstrong, is still in the writing process, but would reunite Gosling and Chazelle, who are currently shooting the musical La La Land with Emma Stone.
