Monday night featured a landmark for Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show: It was the first time Questlove and Tariq “Black Thought” Trotter were on a game team together. The two Roots leaders faced off against Fallon and Taraji P. Henson in a game of Password, and acquitted themselves well, too: The Roots won the first round, when Trotter successfully guessed “Bubble” based on Questlove’s “burst” clue.

It’s official: Orphan Black’s Tatiana Maslany finally has an Emmy! The actress, who has been praised by critics and fans for years for her work as all of the Leda clones on Orphan Black — and was nominated for the first time in this category last year — took home the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama during Sunday’s 68th annual Emmy Awards.

“I should have written this down,” she said, trying to think of what to say. “Thank you so much. There are so many people I’m indebted to.”

Taraji P. Henson says she accidentally brought a little Cookie to Hidden Figures

This fall, Taraji P. Henson has two high-profile projects on her plate. For one, she’ll be reprising her role as the inimitable Cookie Lyons when Empire returns on Sept. 21. And secondly, she’ll be telling the story of Katherine Johnson in the film Hidden Figures, chronicling the African-American mathematician’s work at NASA in the 1960s. The two are vastly different women, but according to Henson, she had a little trouble switching between the two.
