Van Morrison announces new album Keep Me Singing

Van Morrison has announced his 36th studio album, Keep Me Singing. The record is due out Sept. 30 along with the project’s first single, “Too Late.”

Keep Me Singing serves as Morrison’s first original material since 2012’s Born to Sing: No Plan B. The collection will feature 12 new songs plus a cover of 1963 blues standard “Share Your Love With Me.” He last released Duets: Re-working the Catalogue, a collection of his previous hits re-recorded as duets with the likes of Mavis Staples, Michael Bublé, and Joss Stone in 2015.

Van Morrison is now a knight

Receiving a knighthood has the to be the coolest recognition. Which means, somehow, Van Morrison is even cooler now. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriter’s Hall of Fame inductee was knighted Friday, the United Kingdom’s highest honor. So that’s Sir Van Morrison, from now on. 

“We are thrilled to hear the momentous news that Van Morrison has received such a prestigious and well deserved honor today,” RCA Records executives Peter Edge and Tom Corson said in a statement. “All of us at RCA are wishing him a heartfelt congratulations.”
