Uh oh. It’s been nine months since the conclusion of Wayward Pines, Fox’s sleeper summer sci-fi hit from 2015, and everyone knows what nine months means: New life, new season, new unsettling poster. EW has an exclusive sneak peek at the brand new key art for season two of the M. Night Shyamalan-produced thriller — and it’s ripe for dissection by fans of the Blake Crouch book series, which Fox transformed into last summer’s top broadcast network scripted series.

Wayward Pines has been renewed for a second season, EW has learned.
Oh, Wayward Pines, you devilish little minx. You sly, devious little show. You came into our lives this summer with the spectral intrigue of a psychothriller, the chic style of a Nordstrom, and the marching momentum of Luscious Lyon, and how did you end? As a guns-blazing, limb-chopping, blood-splattering horror movie, but one that still managed to find moments of quiet, subtle, tissue-grabbing woe and one final WTF to keep things turning like a terrible merry-go-round. Nay, like all merry-go-rounds.

Well, that was depressing!
Does anyone know the way to the nearest cement bunker?
Now that Pilcher has cut off the Pinesians’ power, the no-longer-electrified fence is no threat to the Abbies — and if this exclusive clip from Thursday’s Wayward Pines finale is any indication, that’s about to be a problem. As Kate helps defend the town, her gun jams, forcing her to retreat to the toy store with an Abby on her heels. But is any room strong enough?
