Gwyneth Paltrow,, Gary Vaynerchuk to mentor on Apple's Planet of the Apps

Gwyneth Paltrow,, and Gary Vaynerchuk have joined Planet of the Apps, Apple’s new reality series about app developers, it was announced Thursday.

The series, produced by Apple and Propagate, will follow a yet-to-be-cast group of tech entrepreneurs hoping to launch their careers with new apps. Superstars Paltrow and, who will also executive produce the series, join digital mogul Vaynerchuk to mentor and advise the crop of up-and-coming developers.

Black Eyed Peas sign with Scooter Braun

Scooter Braun’s roster just got bigger. The manager best known for working with Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande and Carly Rae Jepsen just signed the Black Eyed Peas at SB Projects. The band’s logo first appeared on SB Projects’ website, and EW confirmed the news.

Braun will not, however, handle management for the band’s solo artists, and Fergie. EW can also confirm that Fergie is busy working on new music.

A lot has been made of the Katy Perry vs. Lady Gaga chart face-off this fall, but music fans shouldn’t count out OG pop queen Britney Spears in that fight. Spears dropped her new single “Work Bitch” on Sunday, a day earlier than planned, after a low-quality version of the song leaked online.

Pharrell Williams requests ruling in trademark feud with

Singer-songwriter Pharrell Williams wants a judge to rule that a trademark for his “I am OTHER” company is not infringing on’s “I AM” trademark.

Pharrell filed legal papers Monday in federal court in Manhattan. He’s seeking a declaratory judgment of non-infringement.

The two artists have been in dispute for the past several months over the issue.

A lawyer for declined to comment.

Britney Spears talks new album, single: 'I think people will be surprised'

Yesterday, Britney Spears formally unveiled her new single “Ooh La La,” from the soundtrack to the movie The Smurfs 2 (which is a thing that is happening, for some reason).

She pulled back the curtain on the extra-Smurfy pop track on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show, and that also gave her the opportunity to reveal some details about her current music project.
