Hanson on their evolution and 'longform' Roots and Rock 'n' Roll Tour

Most assume Hanson’s world ended after “Mmmbop,” that they were one-hit wonders who faded away after the bubblegum megahit, confined to episodes of VH1’s I Love the 90’s. True fans, however, know the band has recorded six studio albums (and even more if you count their live records and Christmas album) and tour approximately every two years (including this year’s Roots & Rock ‘n’ Roll Tour) — not to mention started a label in 2004, play recurring concerts in Jamaica, and created their own beer, an IPA they cheekily named “Mmmhops.”

Zac Hanson welcomes third baby

Hanson’s Zac Hanson and wife Kate welcomed a new baby boy to the family last week. Reps for the 28-year-old drummer and his 29-year-old wife confirmed the good news to People on Thursday morning.

“We are very excited to share the addition of  George Abraham Walker Hanson to our growing family,” Zac told People. “Abraham is healthy and we are happily sharing a little down time together as a family.”

Zac Hanson and wife expecting third child

Zac Hanson and his wife, Kate, confirmed to People that they will welcome their third child this fall. The new baby will join the couple’s two other children; Shepherd, 5, and Junia Rosa Ruth, 2.

“It’s fun this time to watch the little ones so excitedly anticipating their new sibling,” Zac tells People.

Hanson’s new album, Anthem, comes out June 18.
