It’s a battle royal in the backseat of a limo in this exclusive clip from E!’s first scripted series, The Royals.
The drama, which debuts Sunday, March 15, follows the exploits of a thoroughly modern monarchy in the wake of the heir apparent’s death. Elizabeth Hurley stars as prickly Queen Helena, who, despite losing her eldest son, isn’t about to show sympathy to the rest of her brood—including Prince Liam (William Moseley) and Princess Eleanor (Alexandra Park). Especially when they insult her Botox regimen.
If the prospect of watching Hurley slap some sense into her son isn’t enough incentive to check out the new series, the 49-year-old actress offered this pitch to EW earlier this year:
“I’m sure most Americans would adore to have their own royal family, so how amazing for America to now have their very own substitute E! version of one. You get the glamour, the pomp, and the scandal without having to cough up for a Civil List [the monarchy’s expenses]. Win-win all around.”
The Royals, also starring Joan Collins, Vincent Regan, and Merritt Patterson, debuts Sunday, March 15 at 10 p.m. on E!
