The memory of Paul Walker lives on for Vin Diesel, who paid tribute to his late Fast & Furious costar Friday by sharing an image of Walker smiling down on him and his daughter Pauline.
Posted to Instagram, the photo collage features a beaming Diesel lifting his girl in the air along with the caption “Always…”
Pauline, the youngest of Diesel’s three children, was born last year and is named after Walker, who died in a car accident in 2013.
“There’s no other person that I was thinking about as I was cutting this umbilical cord,” Diesel told the Today show in March of last year. “I just thought … I knew he was there, and it felt like, you know, a way to keep his memory a part of my family and a part of my world.”
Diesel also paused to remember Walker last month on the set of Fast 8.
“Many of the crew members who have worked on several of the past Fast films are here again to help us make something special,” he wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of him and Walker. “One of them at the end of the week came up to me and said wow what we are capturing on film is excellent… And then looked at me and said Paul would be proud.”
