Netflix’s new series The OA has gotten slightly less mysterious thanks to a trailer and release date.

Created and written by Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij (The East), the latest Netflix original delves into the inexplicable reappearance of Prairie Johnson (Marling). Having gone missing seven years ago, the previously blind Johnson returns home, now in her 20s and her sight restored. While many believe she is miracle, others worry that she could be dangerous.

“I didn’t disappear,” she reveals in the first look. “I was present for all of it.”

The trailer doesn’t dig deep into much of the circumstances surrounding Johnson, but viewers won’t have to wait long to get answers. The eight-episode first season, which was entirely directed by Batmanglij, will be available to stream on Friday.

Also starring in the new series are Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter films), Scott Wilson (The Walking Dead), and Emory Cohen (Brooklyn).
